is happy to offer five different treatments for your work, whether you
are writing poetry, short stories, plays, screenplays, or lengthy works
of fiction or non-fiction. So that we can best serve your needs, we
ask that you send us your manuscript for an initial estimate before
we begin. We never charge for this service, so if you decide that the
initial analysis is the only help you need, you can walk away without
paying a cent. The initial analysis is crucial since projects vary,
and our goal is to tailor our efforts to match your needs.
We employ an intensive and
thorough process. Every project is assigned to a minimum of three readers,
each with a fresh, distinct perspective. These readers each produce
an individual analysis, then work together to synthesize a larger analysis
indicating what should be done for the work to reach its full potential.
The use of multiple readers ensures that issues of subjectivity (i.e.
personal taste, gender, backgrounds) do not cloud our work.
Overall Analysis
Our overall analysis offers a comprehensive 20+-page breakdown of the
primary strengths and weaknesses of a manuscript, providing examples
and a guide to improvement.
Line-editing
Our line-editing treatment is a step-by-step commentary on each page
of your manuscript, indicating ways of improving the manuscript at the
level of word and sentence. It includes copyediting (editing of punctuation,
spelling, and grammar).
One-on-One tutorials
Our one-on-one tutorials offer a chance to work individually with one
of our senior editors. This will enable you to revise your own manuscripts,
and provide you with the tools necessary to ensure improved writing
in the future.
Book Doctoring
This treatment is a highly intensive procedure. If you select this,
our staff will actually correct the flaws within your manuscript for
you. Once we're finished, you will receive a polished manuscript, ready
for submission to agents and publishers.
Ghostwriting
Our ghostwriting treatment is the most involved of our services. After
considerable dialogue, our staff will create an original manuscript
of publishable quality based on your ideas and/or research.
